The “Thirteenth graduate academic contest respondent ” has been completed successfully
Institute of Life Sciences is well known for its good research atmosphere . In the past few years , more than one hundred articles have been published in various high level magazines and this institute has achieved good results in the “Challenge Cup” and “technology essay contest”. In April 25th 2012 , the “Thirteenth graduate academic contest respondent ” has been held in the third meeting room , in purpose of learning the spirit " information of the thirteenth graduate papers contest in Jiangsu University".
The leadership of our School gave high attention to this thesis contest.With the great efforts of our teachers’ and students’, there were 17 papers submitted. According to the requirements of our school, we will have one first prize , two second prize and two third prize .Under the strict examination, 6 papers entered the final contest.
In the final contest, Dean Chen Keping, professor Zhou Yajing, professor Shi Haifeng , professor Yao Qin and deputy researcher Tan Xiaoli were invited as the judges. Before the competition, the respondent sequence was decided by drawing lots. Each contestants can introduce their own paper with PPT in 8-10 minutes, then answer the questions from the judges .The judges gave their own scores according to the contestants’ presentation ,and finally they calculated each contestants’ scores, and then decided the final rank .
During the respondent process, teachers’ good questions and the contestants’ quick answer won warm applause from the audience .The judges gave their own objective and fair comments; they not only pointed out the defects and innovation, but also they gave some advice about contestants’ research and testing methods .After more than two hours’ intense competition, finally Qi Yinle won the first prize, Feng Fan and Yuan Yi won the second prize, Li Xiao and Zhang Zhao won the third prize.
The thesis contest not only strengthened the academic exchanges between teachers and students, but also enhanced the students to conquer the academic problem with confidence. Only in this way can we achieve higher scientific research achievements.
